'Angels' Loyal Listener Shaun and his wife Lisa
Lisa called into the Delilah show: “I am calling about my wonderful, wonderful husband! This October we will have been married 23 years… We have been blessed with a big household: we have 5 adopted children, and after adopting the first 3, we gave birth to one, and then we adopted 2 more… Four years ago, we lost our son and it was a difficult time for me… Shaun was so supportive and the rock for the whole family. He is a great dad, works all day, and never misses a beat with the kids. I would love for him to know what he means, not just to me but to the many kids and people whose lives he has touched and made a difference in. "
Delilah’s response: “Sounds like your husband Shaun should be nominated and chosen as our ‘Angel of the Night.’ We have been nominating and giving little awards to people who have made a difference to kids and foster care. I have a ministry, nonprofit Point Hope, and one of the areas we are endeavoring to change is the foster care system and encouraging the option for adoption. And it sounds like you and your husband have done this five times over again.”
